Bergzicht Training, is a non-governmental organization dedicated to the skills development of marginalized people in the community. It is situated in the picturesque town of Stellenbosch and has been operating in the Western Cape since 1992.

Our success is based on our commitment to assist in empowering those with little education and minimal skills. By teaching people skills and providing them with the tools needed to break cycles of poverty, Bergzicht is addressing one of the most pressing needs facing vulnerable communities.

Our focus is on skills that are relevant to various sectors, thereby ensuring our learners leave their course with an essential skill in one of the following subject areas: Early childhood development, Frail Care, Home Management and Cater Care. We pride ourselves in the fact that we have already trained over 9000 individuals from the disadvantaged rural areas around Stellenbosch, the Cape Flats and at our Associates throughout South Africa. Ninety-six percent of learners have found permanent employment through our in-house placement bureau.

OOur award-winning approach has garnered recognition from various bodies. The success of our skills development model is further highlighted by the fact that we have been approached by various similar organisations to replicate this model through our Associates programme.

As a non-profit organisation providing a service that is essential to the upliftment of the community, we rely very much on the generosity of benevolent individuals and corporates for donations and sponsorships.
